Join us for the 1st Annual Summit: Remembering Hurricane Katrina – Lessons and Legacy, commemorating 20 years since one of the most devastating natural disasters in U.S. history. This full-day event, held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, brings together emergency management professionals, public service leaders, and community members to reflect on the impact of Hurricane Katrina and explore the lessons learned in crisis response, resilience, and recovery.

The summit will feature a keynote address by Brigadier General Lisa Ahaesy of the Massachusetts Air National Guard, a panel discussion with representatives from MEMA and the American Red Cross, and an information session led by the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency.
